Minted’s Art Shelves on a Big Blank Wall

You guys, I am so excited about this wall in our house!! What was once a boring plain old wall totally come life and brought so much personality to our living space. We have a joint kitchen/dining/family room in the back of our house separate from the formal living and dining rooms in the front, so I knew from the start I wanted this area to be family friendly and F U N. We had this one big empty wall opposite our farm table and for weeks I labored over what to put there. I couldn’t decide if I wanted a super large framed picture or a gallery wall, but both tasks seemed a bit daunting…a) finding a print I loved enough to have blown up so big would be difficult (and uber expensive), and b) it would have to be one BIG gallery wall to fill up the space and I just couldn’t lay it out in my head.

>Enter Minted’s handy Art Shelves. This was truly the perfect solution for this wall. It gave me a direction on where to hang my most coveted art, and added dimension to the wall which nothing else could. I love how I can constantly play around with arranging the art and easily change out pieces as time moves on, without worrying about placement and banging holes into the wall.  I especially love the Little Artist shelf because I finally have an easy place to display all of my kids’ artwork and change it out as the new pieces come in. We divided the wall into two sections and fit the art shelves within those sections and then it was just fun. I picked some great new pieces from Minted and spent a peaceful couple of hours when the kids were asleep arranging them until they were just right. The colors are amazing, and I love the depth that the shelves bring, it seriously makes me smile every time I look at it.

What do you think?! I’m just so in love…

And a big thank you to my friend Casey Friese of Likely Crush for the pretty photos
