I can’t believe a year has passed and I am just now getting to Grace’s nursery tour! Truth is, I’m a very slow decorator and it took me over a year to finish it because I wanted to take my time and get things just right (and of course we’re moving in 1 month!). I discovered new artists and of course Target finds throughout the year to complete the nursery and make it perfect for our little GG Girl.
My favorite part of the nursery was a late addition but well worth the wait, her Rhapsody Wool Woven Rug from Dash & Albert! I wanted a kilim rug with bright hues of pink and a vintage feel and this rug was love at first sight. I had gone back and forth with a few other Dash & Albert rugs, specifically the Herringbone Fuchsia Indoor/Outdoor Rug in bright pink and the Fair Isle Pink/Fuchsia Cotton Rug which are both so fun but I’m glad I went with the bohemian style of the Rhapsody because it brings in so many other colors and she’ll have it forever.
I absolutely adore her room and hope we can replicate it in the new house, it’s so bright and colorful, just like her 🙂 I collaborated with a lot of etsy artists throughout the year who helped me turn my vision into a reality, including: Frosting Home Decor (the best (and affordable) pom pom curtains; Tai Prints (palm tree print); and Bright New Penny (mala beads).
Other sources include Target (mirror above crib and flamingo, it’s on sale for $34!) ; Pottery Barn (crib and rocking lamb). The frames on her gallery wall are from IKEA and besides the palm tree print, the art is my own from Pure Joy Paperie. I made that gold foil “G” hanging up and the tutorial for that is here. The paint color is Sherwin Williams Ski Slope. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
PS my fig tree is on its death bed, I know, I’m looking into it! Any tips on how to bring it back to life!?
