We’re on full throttle #springcleaning mode here at the Joy house! One of the rooms I desperately needed to give some TLC to was our guest room. The downstairs took up so much of our time and effort this year and now that that’s officially done, I can shift my focus on other areas of our home and getting this room ready for guests was top on my list!
We have quite a bit of family that lives out of town, as well as friends, and there is nothing we love more than a slumber party. What we did in this room was really just a refresh. I was craving something light and bright (big surprise there 🤣) and found the most BEAUTIFUL bedding from Bloomingdales! Confession, I will spend more on luxury bedding than pretty much everything else, even bags + shoes. There is NOTHING like good, quality sheets and sleep is a priority for me so anything I can do to fall asleep easier and longer is #worthit.
For this bed I chose their Matouk Martinique collection and am SOOOO happy with it! The color and floral pattern give this room the light and airy feel I was going for, and the quality is unmatched. The quilt is nice and light for springtime and is machine washable. The sheets are also to die for, I went with the Gordian Knot Percale sheet set which pairs nicely with the Martinique pattern. For the Euro shams, I chose a nice thick white from their Costa design.
