Gift Guide for the Kiddies

This is the first year that Brian really gets Christmas and it’s been so amazing to experience the magic of the season through his eyes. We’ve been having so much fun with everything, looking to see where Mickey, our elf, has landed for the day (and I’ve been enjoying pointing to him when things get a little hairy as a reminder that someone’s watching!), taking Brian to visit Santa, watching all the Christmas shows, singing christmas carols, you know… all that good stuff.

So today’s post is for the kiddies. I’ve compiled a list of some really great toys that are pretty universal. We said we weren’t going to go too crazy for the kids but I keep seeing all these great toys that I know B will love, and… oh it’s just one more… Grace is still so young so we can still get away with one or two things for her and she’ll play with all of B’s toys so technically we’re only shopping for one 🙂

Personalized Book, my SIL gave this to us last year and both kids love listening to their stories

Magnetic Blocks, these are all the rage amongst the toddler boy set. We’re getting Brian his first set this Christmas, hopefully he likes them!

Cash Register, we play “store” all the time with a calculator so I think he’ll love this!

Elf on the Shelf, a great gift for a family who doesn’t have one

Babydoll accessories and baby doll

Toy baking set. Even though Grace isn’t really into pretend play yet, she’ll enjoy banging these around

Plush unicorn because everyone needs one in their life.

Magnetic letters. Brian’s been obsessed with the alphabet since he was Grace’s age and we’re working on writing now so this will be fun.

Toss game. Brian’s also super into playing games and winning prizes. We set all sorts of makeshift games up like cup bowling in the living room, ring toss, etc…

Mouse in a box, how cute is this??

Drums and Ukulele for Grace, homegirl loves music and I’m sure she’ll love making beats on these drums

Another set of magnetic tiles, a little cheaper (these are the ones we bought for B)

Wooden marble run, another toy B loves

Trampoline, so my kids will stop jumping on my couch!
