Hi Everyone! I’m back with such a positive outlook thanks to all of your amazing comments, emails, and even text messages boosting me up after yesterday’s blogger block post. Seriously, your messages mean the world to me and I’m so grateful for each and everyone of you who read my blog. I know how busy our days can be and the fact that you took those extra minutes to let me know how you felt in response to my post is just everything so THANK YOU, I am so lucky to have you 🙂
So all day yesterday I was scribbling down notes and I have so many ideas I can’t wait to post about, it’s going to be such a good 2017 and I’m so excited to grow PJH with you all. I thought for today I would highlight some of my very favorite local brands. In hindsight, I should probably have posted this a little sooner for gifts, but these are all great brands to keep on you radar in general, and if you’re local, bonus!
Stitch Stamford Stamford-based monogramming company owned and run by one of my nearest and dearest friends (also cousin-in-law and Gracie’s Godmother!) creates bespoke monogrammed bags and accessories. Kristen has a knack for transitioning the classic preppy monogram onto trendy and stylish pieces.
Hat Attack Anyone who knows me knows I love this brand. It’s rare you’ll ever see me not wearing HA. I’m obsessed with everything they make, hats, bags, clutches, towels, you name it. My friend Cooper’s parents started the company in the early 80’s and have grown it into the premier hat and accessories provider that it is today.
Dudley Stephens is owned and operated my friend Lauren Stephens as well as her sister and mother. Having grown up in fleece, like most of us here in the northeast, they decided to take the usual sporty material to the next level and design and create stylish silhouettes using fleece fabric that are comfortable, easy to wear, and that look and feel good. Plus, their symbol is a pineapple so it was an immediate “love” for me 🙂
Red & Goose Owned and operated my friend Melissa who I met at the pool this summer, Red & Goose is made up of custom headbands and leggings for babies and toddlers. We love Grace’s headbands and pants made by Melissa!
Lola Jack Lifestyle is a new all organic skincare line homemade in Stamford, CT. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the lip balm, it adds such a nice gloss to my lips and it even tastes great!
Sail to Sable I met Jennifer at a local women’s entrepreneur group and am blown away by the brand she has built. Her booming clothing line is preppy and sophisticated boasting classic designs that incorporate timeless elements of clean stripes, bold hues, upscale fabrics and bright trims
Mayita Knits My friend Naddya hand-knits and crochets the most intricate and beautiful hats and accessories for babies. They are seriously so soft and warm, and I love that they are all made with so much love. Such a sweet gift item for a new baby, or for your own little one.
By George Baby Boutique Never have I seen a prettier swaddle blanket or changing pad cover than the designs of Sarah from By George Baby Boutique. Her studio is right here in Stamford and all of her creations are simply beautiful. I can’t wait to dress up Grace’s room with her pieces.
Twig & Tassel Based in Fairfield, Julien specializes in creating boho inspired baskets and tassel wall hangings. The colors and designs are seriously to die for, I can’t wait to collaborate soon and hopefully get a few pieces for our home.
Nyla Star Stamford based jewelry designer Leslie Kumar has created the most beautiful collection of simple, delicate and sophisticated jewelry. I’ve seen her pieces up close and personal and literally love everything.
I’m sure I’m missing so many of you out there, but I will continue to keep a running list and update you all with my newest and greatest discoveries. Have a great day everyone!
