Morning Gals! So if you follow me on instagram you may have seen the video of me getting a facial treatment called Laser Genesis at Bareskin Medspa yesterday with my friend Heather who is an Aesthetic RN. We were together recenty and chatting about sun damage and fine lines (ugh aging is so sad and I don’t care what anyone says, wrinkles forming isn’t a welcome sight), and she recommended LG so I decided to give it a go. The treatment of Laser Genesis involves gently heating the dermis below the skin’s surface and stimulating collagen production, eliminating fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin tone and texture, and diffusing any redness and scars. I’ve never done anything like this to my face so I was a little nervous but she assured me everything would be fine, and I loved it!
Bareskin Medspa is located at Stamford Hospital (in the Tully Center) and is so clean and relaxing! I also love that it’s in a hospital, something about that feels safe, and legit. Heather started the treatment and it felt like little hot pulses on my face, not painful at all. To be completely honest, laying down in a room without kids while someone works on you (regardless of what they are doing) is relaxing. It was only about ten minutes long and when we were finished I could almost see immediate results. My face was a little red, but went back to normal within minutes.
The real results happened when I woke up this morning. I went to put on my moisturizer and was amazed at how even my skin looked, and my teeny wrinkles were gone. My pores shrunk and my overall complexion was just better. I’m a HUGE fan of Laser Genesis and will be back! People usually get this treatment once a month.
Here’s a snapshot of me writing this blog post, no makeup (pretty good, right?)
If you’re interested, Heather does this treatment (and lots others including chemical peels, microdermabrasion, fillers, botox and coolsculpting) at Bearskin Medspa and you can contact them at 203.323.SKIN.
ALSO, if you’re local, I’m having a holiday party at my house on November 30th with a few friends and I’d love for you to come. I’ve been so happy to meet some of my readers out and about and would love to get together to celebrate the holidays. Heather will be there giving out little packages and offering free consultations as well as lots of other great local #girlbosses selling their goods for the holidays. Hat Attack, Stitch Stamford, jewelry, etc… Since it’s at my home, I’m asking for RSVP’s (see invite) and will reply back with my address.
Happy Thursday!!! If you have any questions about the treatment that you want to ask privately, feel free to email at [email protected] 🙂
