Affordable Back-To-School Style For Kids

26 Jul 2019 Family, Kids

affordable back-to-school style for kids

Today I am excited to share affordable back-to-school style for kids!

Summer is in full swing but back to school time is just around the corner for us!  And while I absolutely love the relaxing, fun and exciting vibes of summer, there is something satisfying about knowing we will be back in our normal routines soon.  This year Brian will be starting 1st grade (what?!).  Coupled with Grace making a BIG change to pre-k at the same school as Brian.  So I am excited for a one-stop drop off!  Mostly, I just can’t believe how much and how fast they are growing and learning, and we love watching each of them do that in their own unique ways.

There are still so many days to soak up the sun!  But it always feels good to get ahead of the game when it comes time to preparing for that crazy back to school time.  Lately, I have been hearing and seeing a lot about Walmart as a destination to shop for affordable back-to-school style for kids.  So when they approached me for a partnership I was really excited to explore what they had to offer.

SHOPPING AT WALMART

Once I started to shop I realized they have so many great fashion finds not just for the kids, but for me too, at such great prices.  And they are one of the fastest growing and most dynamic e-commerce organizations.  Because of this they are really paving the way and expanding how customers can easily shop and find exactly what they are looking for at every day low prices.   They also offer free 2-day shipping for most orders $35 or more and most of those items are eligible for free returns!

BACK TO SCHOOL STYLE

So I absolutely LOVE these pictures!  Because it just shows me how much they have grown over the summer and my heart explodes with love for them.  And I am so proud of the kids they are and can’t wait to see what this new school year brings for each of them.  First, Brian is loving his skate board that we got him for his birthday!  He’s seriously obsessed.  Then, Grace is showing her love-able yet sassy side in all of these photo’s and I’m still laughing over it!

We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican ad We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican adventure. This is the two week decompression period where we train our bodies and minds to slow down (this is more for me than anyone else), and let me tell you, I’m lapping it up. We’re spending all day outside at the beach, going to bed early, eating lots of fresh fruit and healthy foods, swimming in the ocean, I’m working out and meditating in the mornings, and having fun together. For someone who is usually always in high gear, this part is my gift to myself 🐚

We are staying at a beautiful place in papagayo with @exclusiveresorts and it feels very luxurious and restorative.

The kids are already thriving. Being together 24/7 comes with its arguments and fights but they are learning how to just be with each other and with their crazy little brother. They’re helping a lot with him, learning a little Spanish, surfing, writing in their journals, and meeting kids from all over the world who are staying here as well.

I’m letting us get pampered for this phase, and it feels really good.

Thanks for coming along, I hope your year is off to an amazing start! Is there anything specific you’d like me to share about while we’re in this phase? I was thinking about sharing my morning workouts and meditations, but let me know!
Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app @melissawoodtepperberg @melissawoodhealth and so far I’m loving the workouts. I try and do one every morning. They’re super quick so sometimes I do two. I like that they are gentle but hard. They incorporate a lots of yoga, pilates, breathing, stretching, balancing and all that good stuff. You can see from the videos I’m pretty shaky in the first couple clips, that balance is tough but I’m building up my strength, I can feel it 💪🏻
