How in the world are my kids going back to school next week?! I swear we just got released for summer, it went by in the blink of an eye. We had a wonderful summer though, full of lots of adventures and travels, while still enjoying our new home, neighborhood and beach!
We packed in Nantucket, a trip to the Hamptons with friends, and a trip to Block Island. I would say the highlight though, was being in our backyard together as a family. We got into the habit of spending the afternoons together after everyone had been with their friends, at camp, for us at work, and just relaxed and had fun in the pool. Brian would always put on some music, I’d usually have a glass of wine and we CHILLED.
I hope we can still squeeze the most out of the warm weather in September and continue this new tradition! The kids are in school from 9-3:30 and will have some activities but I think we can make it happen!
This year we did our back to school shopping online, highly recommend! We hit up Walmart for all the necessities and found a lot of perfect staples for clothing and accessories. The prices can’t be beat and I must say the clothes hold up! I love the Wonder Nation and Free Assembly brands for the kids, it makes shopping easy and I love the styles.
