Sharing a Joy family bedroom update today! We recently realized we needed to update Brian’s furniture in his room. I had painted an old dresser for him years ago, but now that he is getting dressed on his own it was getting harder for him to open and shut the drawers (I don’t know if you’ve ever painted old furniture but as they age with the paint they get a little tricky).
As I was buying the dresser I found so many other cute decor items at Walmart so I got a few others things that would give him a nice refresh for the new school year.
I immediately loved the dresser & nightstand combo and so did B! I felt like they were really good pieces that will grow with him and went great with the items I already had in the room. One of my favorite items is this photo display unit. It’s a great way to personalize the room and Brian can easily change out photo’s as he pleases or feature any of his artwork (he loves to be creative!). To bring a little bit of texture to the room I placed some storage baskets (pictured above and similar ones here) and think they are a perfect addition to help hide his toys and chachkies he likes to keep in his room. Brian really likes to snuggle up so we wanted a super soft and plush down comforter for him to feel cozy with. I personally love that my kid’s have down comforter’s so they are warm and we can easily clean and/or change out the cover when we need to.
As I mentioned in this post, I really was happy with the quality and wide variety of styles the kids’ home decor line at Walmart has to offer. Their pieces have all been fairly easy to assemble and the price point is right on the mark! If you are looking to furnish or upgrade a room for the little’s I suggest checking them out!
I am sharing links of Brian’s dresser, nightstand and similar decor items below (click on image to shop) to help you get the look!
Thank you Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!
