1. What are your go to meals for breakfast?

This is the worst answer ever, but I personally never really eat breakfast 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m only hungry for one thing usually in the morning and it’s liquid, dark and begins with the letter C. Can’t start my day without it. I also usually have a glass of room temperature water with a drop of lemon and a drop of peppermint. I’m just always in a hurry and don’t worry, I make up for it at lunch 🍔

2. Do you ever meal prep or menu plan for the week? If so what are your favorite go-to meals?

I actually don’t meal prep because I can never decide what I want to make in advance but I do usually buy everything I need to make my favorite meals and cover the basics at once now. I usually go to the grocery store on the weekends when Brian is home so I can go  I buy chicken and beef, with lots of veggies and fruit, and snacks for my littles.

3. What’s always in your purse? Something you would never leave home without?

The essentials, obviously phone, wallet and keys.  The germ fighters, Thieves roll-on, Thieves hand purifier, Seedlings baby wipes and because it’s winter and I need all the help for dry skin I use this moisturizer and Young Living cinnamon chapstick.  This also might sound random but I keep a Native deodorant in there too because you never know lol!  I like their lavender & rose and coconut & vanilla scents.

4. What do you use on your kitchen counters and cabinets to stay so sparkly?

I make my own cleaner with the Thieves household concentrate.  It makes it shine!

5. What do you do to stay so slim?

I know people may not like this answer but honestly I only eat when I am hungry and really try not to overeat.  I tend to get a bad stomach ache if I overeat so I just eat until I am satisfied (basically everything in moderation).  I try to be active/go to the gym as often as I can at least for 30 mins a day whether that be walking, running or doing a quick BBG circuit, etc.  But I’ve actually recently stopped putting pressure on myself to get to the gym as it effects my mood.  I take it day by day and do what feels right.

6. Do you ever feel low energy? Could use some tips, love your energy.

COFFEE!  No but seriously how I start my day totally impacts by energy levels.  I love waking up a little earlier than my kids to get a nice calm cup of warm coffee.  Like I said I will have water with lemon and peppermint and it really puts a pep in my step.  I truly believe if you are inspired with what you do it will fuel you.  I am a very motivated and goal driven person so that really gets me excited and energized to work towards what I am trying to achieve.  I would suggest finding what makes you excited or energetic and find time for that.  Try to look for something to reach for personally outside of your home, family, day to day and get passion from that and it will keep you going.

7. Did you originally go to school for interior design?

No I actually went to school for Art History.  I’m obviously a very visually driven person.  I had an internship at Christie’s Auction House but then fell into the corporate track of needing a paycheck to pay rent and just got a job in HR which was definitely not the right fit for me.  But eventually made my way out and here I am today.   That’s a whole long story for another day, let me know if any of you would be interested to hear about it in an upcoming blog post though by commenting below.

8. What is your favorite thing about your job?

Being able to share what I love with you.  That sounds really simple but to be able to express myself creatively, emotionally in all aspects of my life is my dream come true.  I get very enthusiastic about things in life, from clothes, beauty products, to what I made for dinner last night, all of it. My friends used to make fun of me in college saying I was the most enthusiastic person they ever knew.  The fact that there are people out there who can relate, want to hear all that, find value from it and share their personal stories with me makes it all feel so right and like where I need to be.  Now we now have this little community online where we can relate to each other and lift one another up and I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more.

9. Do you have any local spa recommendations?

I am actually not a spa goer but something I would like to change in 2019.  If anyone else has recommendations please send them our way by commenting below.  Sister could use a facial!! 🙋🏼‍♀️

10. Have you ever lived in a different state?

Yes!  I lived in the Upper East side in NYC for two years after college.  But I swear one of these days I am going to move somewhere warm.  I am quite attached to my family who are all in CT so it’s hard right now but one day…
