Today I am sharing our family photo outfit ideas with you! This has been a highly requested post and I am so excited to share with you what we will be wearing for our family photo shoot. Family photos can be very stressful and the task of finding coordinating outfits for everyone is daunting #amiright. While I can’t come and wrangle your kids and bribe them with candy to make them smile, I can hopefully ease the stress of making everyone look cute and put together!
Coordinating Outfits
Choosing outfits for the whole family is a lot of work! I spent hours yesterday searching the internet for the perfect looks for the whole family. While I love styling and creating outfits, I totally get it that it’s not for everyone and who really has the time to do it! I created looks for the entire family. They are all simple and classic looks so these pictures can be framed and displayed in your home and you can use them for your holiday cards too!
My Family Outfit Inspiration
For Brian and Brian, I chose rust color corduroys and grey sweaters. They are the perfect autumnal colors and such a classic look for guys and little boys. For Grace, I found the cutest dusty rose collared dress. I added cable knit knee high socks and brown leather mary janes. I feel like I only have a few more years to dress them like this so I am taking full advantage of these moments!
Then for my look, I went through about 5 options which all either sold out, cancelled orders, delayed shipping, etc… At the final hour, I went on foot, took little B on a shopping adventure *thrilling for him* and the last stop was Urban Outfitters. I found this adorable dress on the rack and didn’t even try it on, held it up and said this HAS to be it. AND IT’S PERFECT!!! I paired it with my J. Crew booties and my Gorjana mosaic disc necklace.
Family Photo Session
We have a planned family photo shoot this Monday so wish us all the luck! This is something we haven’t done a in years because of how crazy the whole process can be. Grace was a baby in our last REAL family photos so I guess it’s time for some new ones 🙂 But as stressful and crazy as the whole family picture taking thing is, I am so happy that we will have these memories to look back on and cherish forever. Because Brian and Grace are growing so fast, I want to capture our family during these most precious years. I hope these family photo outfit ideas can help you and ease some of the stress of taking family photos. Now you can hopefully enjoy this moment and look back and maybe even laugh at how crazy it all was!
