Next Sunday is Father’s day and I recruited Brian to make a wishlist!  He pulled some of his favorites including some of his favorite men’s fashion items, home must have’s and athletic gear so there is something for everyone.  Many of these items are available on prime so you can guarantee to get everything you need in time to make the dad in your life feel special on his day.

Brian recently tried and now loves Peter Millar for finding great quality clothing.  They specialize in luxury performance sportswear, seasonal resort wear, tailored clothing and really sleek accessories.  He recently found two pairs of dress pants (which can be hard to find) that fit him so well yet are soft and comfortable.

I had to include the power washer in this list as I don’t know if I have ever received SO many DM’s about a topic as random as power washing!  Haha I loved see’ing the response and so many of you said it would make a great father’s day gift which I 100% agree with!

Another top must-have on this list is the JBL speaker.  It’s a portable, wireless, waterproof, bluetooth speaker.  We bring this everywhere, to the beach, out on the deck, when we travel it’s so easy to pack and given how much we all love music we see it as essential.

Brian also has been raving about this WEBER iGrill Mini.  It’s the must-have summer BBQ tool as it helps to ensure you have perfectly grilled food.  You can download the app and monitor the temperature while you grill to make sure you get the best results no matter what you are cooking.  It’s originally $49.99 but on sale right now for only $25.19!

If the dad your buying for is a gym buff this Patagonia black hole duffle bag is such a good size for bringing to the gym.  You can carry it as a traditional duffle bag or wear as a backpack depending on what you are doing (so great for traveling also!).  B also loves his Nike Dry Training shorts which has amazing reviews and only $30.

‘tis the summer of “no” for me, which may so ‘tis the summer of “no” for me, which may sound odd, but let me explain…

This is the summer of protecting my energy, keeping the good vibes close, and only saying yes to doing the things that truly bring us joy. I have found in the past that my patterns are typically to say yes to whatever may sound like a fun opportunity at the time, even if it’s months in advance. I’m sure you can guess what usually ends up happening, but when that day comes, I dread having made the plans! Most of the time, I would rather be home with my family, enjoying the beach, having quiet nights, etc… Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good time, but I have found the older I get, the simpler I like my life to be. I crave the freedom of not being on anyone else’s schedule, I don’t like being expected to be anywhere, I want my kids to just be free to play with their friends, and simply just enjoy the everyday moments.

My perfect summer looks like this… swimming in our pool, being at the beach with our friends and family, gardening, keeping up with my veggie garden, making yummy dinners, barbecuing, happy hour at the beach, taking walks, drinking coffee on the porch, reading books, watching movies as a family on the couch, playing tennis with my girlfriends … this is all heaven to me. We’re working pretty hard during the days with Marea, so when I’m not working, this is what I love to be doing.

How about you? Do you crave the simplicity? Or do you like having plans? Mix of both?
