Big news in the Joy house! Grace has officially been upgraded to her new big girl bed! I am sharing all the details on how we made the decision, how the transition went and where we bought the bed!
I held onto that crib for as long as we could. Grace is 3 and 2 months, and she was physically outgrowing the size of the crib so I knew the time was coming. Also, kind of selfishly, we knew she could safely get up and out on her own in the mornings and play with Brian before we wanted to get out of bed and get her out of her crib (🙈 lazy parents!). No, but really, she was ready for the freedom of coming and getting out as she pleased.
Over the weekend, Brian, little Brian and I got it all ready to surprise her! Here is the sweet video:
I thought a lot about what bed, bedding and new furniture we would now need for her more grown up room. I wanted to keep it fun and spunky, just like her, a little boho and a little girlie. I decided to get the bed first as that’s the centerpiece and what matters most in terms of her comfort. I had no idea that Walmart has so many great options for kids’ home decor. I compared other beds that were way more expensive and I’m so happy I went with this one, it’s SOLID, and the price can not be beat! I loved the design as well as it was feminine yet simple which compliments the room so nicely. The best part, assembly was super easy as I put it together with my friend in one afternoon. I know Walmart as the go-to retailer for quality everyday items at a low price and now I would definitely recommend checking out the kids’ home home section of Walmart to help you furnish your next project for the kiddo’s.
Isn’t this table the sweetest??
I am sharing links of Grace’s bed/sheet set and similar decor items below (click on image to shop) to help you get the look! I am so proud of our little girl and can’t wait to see all the fun and exciting things this year brings for my little people <3
Thank you Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!
