HOLIDAY HOME DECOR

Life & Style blogger, Liz Joy, shares a peak into her holiday home decor. Brightening up her home with affordable holiday home decor.

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!  We had the best long weekend together celebrating with family and friends and continuing our tradition of getting our tree the day after Thanksgiving.  The kids and I were so excited to go home and get right to decorating with some holiday home decor.  Since we were hosting Thanksgiving, which by the way went SO well in the new space, I did a little decorating to make sure the space was inviting and festive for our guests.  There is a totally new vibe and layout to the space so I wanted to showcase decor that would highlight that.

I am obsessed with our open shelving!  Could not wait to style them for the holidays and was happy to find a variety of holiday home decor items from Walmart  including these mini white and pink bottle brush trees.

TREES

Over the years I have added trees to our home.  For instance adding one in the kids playroom, a tiny one on my nightstand, and this year I really went for it with two tree’s in one room!  This pre-lit 5’ artificial tree was the perfect size and shape for this little nook in the kitchen.

I kept it simple and just added this sweet garland  and propped it on a stool to give it height.  I love the way it compliments the white and bright kitchen that matches our boho chic style.  It comes with the burlap base and the mini lights are designed to continue working even if one bulb breaks!  If you wanted to get a similar look without using a stool they offer a variety of sizes like this 6’ artificial tree which is similar just unlit and an inch taller.

ORNAMENTS

Grace loves to be my little helper (mini mommy) these days so she and I had a fun afternoon putting finishing touches on the bigger tree.  My heart grows in size when I look at her in these pictures.  I found a great assortment of shatterproof ornaments (which if you have kids is KEY).

WALL ART

Lastly, my favorite item is this Merry and Bright picture that I hung just above our stove.  I had been searching for something to put here and thought this piece was the perfect fit.  They have a number of different holiday signs that are at a great price and perfect for the season.
