Hospital Bag – What I’m Packing!

UPDATE // Hi! Today is April 18, 2020 and I wanted to send through some helpful info about your hospital bag! I’ feeding little William right now and Brian is typing this up for me!

I’ll forget unless I do it now, and I know a lot of you are close so I wanted to get this out! Here are some things we added the night before/morning of:

no.1 Yetti Rambler 30oz Tumbler – a MUST to keep your water and ice cold all day. Also, hospitals have the best ice, it’s that little nugget ice that I could chomp on all day. Especially helpful if you’re in labor!

no.2 Dohm white noise sound machine – the BEST! We keep it close to William at night and it drowns out all startling noises.

no.3 The Ollie Swaddle  – k so when everyone started recommending these swaddles to me I was a bit sticker shocked with their price but we put it on William at 3 AM last night and it calmed him down for hours. Praise!! It’s also so easy to use.

no.4 Barefoot Dreams Blanket – I debated this one as we were on our way out the door but figured it couldn’t hurt. It has been SOOO nice to have this in my hospital bed. William and I cuddle underneath it pretty much all day.

no.5 This Stork 3 piece set. This was gifted to me but it’s so perfect. It’s really soft, and the tank has buttons for nursing. I like that it’s loose-fitting and I’ll probably wear it the whole time I’m here. I actually haven’t been wearing the pants (just the mesh underwear they give you because you’re under blankets).

JBL speaker. We’ve been playing relaxing music in our room and it’s so nice.

Sidenote, my mom baked us a banana bread and cut up some fresh fruit and this is so great to have in your room! A little taste of home 🙂

Hi Sweeties!! FIVE days until we have our baby boy and my hospital bag is packed! The protocol for c-sections is 4 nights so I’m going to plan on that, and if I’m up to it, will try and scoot out a little earlier 🙂 I think having the 4-nights would be ideal to have some quiet time with the baby before the chaos of the other two come into play but we will see, I’m playing it by ear. My parents will be watching the kids while Brian is with me, and then he’ll take over when he needs to.

From all the nurses and doctors that I’ve spoken with, the Labor and Delivery and Maternity units in the hospital all feel very safe and sheltered from the Covid world we’re living in. I hope that is true and if so, I can’t wait for it.

Okay so here is what I’m packing in my bag!
