Morning!! I wanted to share a little bit about a new habit I’ve gotten myself into that I really enjoy. I don’t know about you but I am a LIST person to the fullest. I have a planner (from Target) and each day has ample space to make lists on what I need to get done throughout the day. I divide my days with a pencil into two columns, one is for WORK and one is for HOME. I write all of the home stuff I want to get done like chores, kids sports, appointments, etc… and then one for work. The work one has a list of things I aim to get done and then things I need to get done. The need ones like deadlines and such are highlighted and then I cross them off as I go. It’s really nothing special but it helps me see what I have left when it’s say lunchtime, and also in the mornings so I can wrap my head around my day.
I also like to write goals on the top of my week. Those look like, “put your phone away from 5-9 PM”, or “work on kids independence”, “read with brian for 30 minutes”, “make Boo bags for the neighborhood”, basically stuff that I want to keep at the top of my mind heading into and throughout the week.
I’m also looking to get into the practice of keeping a gratitude journal in the mornings and at night. November in The Joy Community is going to be all about gratitude so really hoping to get so much out of that!!
