I can’t even believe Easter week is here!! It’s probably due to this cold east coast weather we’ve been having lately, but spring is officially here and that means all the exciting Spring things to follow. Today I’m sharing last minute Easter basket ideas for the kiddos. If you’re like me and wait until the week of to prep for this, then this post was made just for you!!
Brian and Grace get SO excited to see what the Easter bunny thought to bring them each year (and usually go straight to the sugar!!). My favorite items are ones that are on theme but can be used not only that day but throughout the spring/summer (be it toys, clothing etc.). Once they look at all the details of what’s in their basket they are off and running to hunt for eggs which is just so fun for them and pretty hilarious to watch as a parent. I hope the weather is nice for us this year so they can really be out there enjoying the day!!
Have you ever wondered why we even do Easter baskets? I found this interesting article which gives a brief history and some insight into this tradition which all in all can ultimately be looked at as a celebration of Spring!! I’m all for celebrating the start of a new season, especially one that will hopefully bring sunshine and warmth 🙂
I chose a mix of items that would be fun for the bunny to gift to your little ones – hope this helps give you inspo!! Do you have any fun/creative DIY ideas for your Easter baskets!? If so, would love to hear them so please comment below!!
