V excited about today’s post. As you girls know, Loft is one of my very top retailers, their pieces are just so versatile, affordable, classic and on trend. This is a dream collaboration for me and even better, I get to do it alongside my bestie Lauren. Today we’re featuring our favorite pieces from their Valentine’s day capsule collection, these items are seriously cute and perfect for staying warm and cozy this winter with your loved one.
Lauren and I go WAY back and when I think about it, she’s really been the girl who has been by my side throughout my entire adolescent and early adult years. We met freshman year in high school, were roommates in college all four years, studied abroad in Florence together, moved into NYC after college together, got married within months of each other and had kids within months of each other. Our lives have pretty much been in sync since we were 14. The memories and stories we have together could fill an entire book and I realize I’m so lucky to have someone like that who has been through so much life with me. I don’t have a sister so she’s the sister I never had. We spent the morning taking out a photo album and some of our young escapades together and literally could not stop laughing I’m surprised we were event able to get a picture together! Grace even joined in on the fun.
2 quick stories.
- In our freshmen year of high school I thought it would be a great idea to do cross-country. I was not a runner. I convinced Lauren to do it with me. We both hated it. At our first meet I forgot to pack my sports bra. Lauren and I both have really big boobs, so she gets it. I’m running and running with my large boobs taking over and Lauren and I said Eff it we’ll walk the rest of the way. An hour later, we crossed the finished line and our couch was like WTF guys?!
- We were in Prague one weekend while we were abroad. Lauren and I were sharing a shitty room together. We get home from being at these gross clubs and I had to take a shower immediately which was the worst idea ever because we were drinking. I fell in the shower, split my chin open, and we ended up at this sketchy AF hospital where Lauren was holding my hand as I was telling the doctor I loved him #college.
I’ll never forget these funny memories of us just living our best lives, but seriously what would I do in either of these situations if she wasn’t by my side???
