Happy Monday Friends!! I’ve got a busy day ahead as we’re filming a VIDEO at home this morning which you’ll be seeing soon! It’s about motherhood and the importance of taking time for YOU so I’m excited to see how it all plays out and looks on screen. I love filming because it captures so much more than a photo but man, video is A LOT of work. One of my friends from high school is a freelance videographer so I’m excited to work with him for the first time. I really hope Brian and Grace cooperate, you never know but you kind of just have to roll with it.
We had a great weekend with the kids. On Friday we chilled at home and made pasta with meatballs for dinner and on Saturday we ran errands, went to the gym, and had a taco party with some of our closest friends. I’ve got the recipes to share with you for the chicken and cauliflower I made to share with you this week. We had a lot of fun, it’s always so good to catch up with this crew. I was roommates with all of the girls during study abroad in Florence and we’ve remained best friends since. All of our husbands love each other so it’s just a great time, always!
We took the kids to see the Peter Rabbit on Sunday which was SO cute. They did so great at the movies, it was Grace’s first time, and I’m so looking forward to doing that with them more.
Update with Brian + dairy-free // We are still going strong and he is doing great! I can’t believe how much it’s transformed his physical health. His eczema has not come back, no stomach aches, and for right now we are in the clear with the colds and coughs going around but that is not to say that tomorrow could be different. I just have this feeling that the whole time he was eating so much dairy, his poor immune system was fighting against itself leaving him vulnerable to catching whatever was going around. SO we’ll keep going with it and see…
While we’ve been on the dairy-free train with Brian, it’s kind of trickled down to all of us. Not so much the no-dairy but just being healthier in general. I’ve been trying to go back to the gym and eat better. Less bread and pasta and more lean meats and veggies! It hasn’t been that hard honestly, and I feel so much better when I eat healthy. So for example instead of a chocolate croissant and latte at lunch, with snacks all afternoon, I’ll have chicken and salad and won’t be hungry until dinner. At dinner, I’ve swapped pasta with zoodles, little things like that.
That’s all I got for you now friends, sorry I wasn’t that interesting today! Back tomorrow for Ten Things Tuesday 😉
