My Christmas Wishlist

It’s enough to make a grown man cry, but I thought it would be fun to put a dream christmas list together today for yours truly. I’m working on my ‘gift guide for her’ and I think it’s going to look a lot like this! Most items I think are in reach for most, except for the Chloe bag but I couldn’t leave that out because it has my name written on it, see those big letters that spell L-I-Z on the front??

That diffuser on the bottom middle is from Young Living, the essential oils I’ve been using. It’s so pretty and you should see the air when it comes out of the spout, beautiful!

morning šŸ¤ we’re getting the vaccine today and morning šŸ¤ we’re getting the vaccine today and if I’m being honest I have so many mixed emotions about it. I don’t want it, I hate the idea of injecting my body with something foreign for an illness we know so little about, and with a substance that hasn’t been around for long at all. It’s scary to me, and I’ve heard so many polarizing opinions my head could explode.

As I sit in that chair today, I know I’m going to want to swat that needle, get up and run away. Like I’ve wanted to run away from this whole thing.

BUT here’s the thing. I have not been in the labs, I have not been on the frontlines, I am not a medical professional and know very little about this virus, and about medicine in general.

But overarching, I DO believe in science. I DO believe in my doctors, I DO believe that this vaccine was created to save lives and get us back to normal, and at the end of the day, I believe deep down in my heart of hearts that there is a higher power at work here, and that work is being done down here, through science, and I am here to do my part.

So today I put my faith, my body and my trust into the hands of science.

Here’s to moving this ship forward.
wanted to send a message of the beauty of simplici wanted to send a message of the beauty of simplicity this morning šŸ¤ I just got off the phone with my mom and we were talking about how nice it was to celebrate William together yesterday. It was a small celebration with family, balloons, a home cooked meal, and cake. The cousins played for hours and we opened a few gifts for Willie.

It’s so nice to eliminate the spectacle of something like a first birthday. I wanted to enjoy the day with him, and celebrate his first year of life with the people I love and I was able to do just that.

I think if this past year taught us anything, it’s that we really don’t need as much ā€œstuffā€. Simple might not be as popular or ā€œInstagram worthyā€, but it might be a whole lot better if we let go of the expectations and the wonder of what everyone else might think šŸ¤

Note šŸ“ Some people live for a spectacle and that is just as BEAUTIFUL for them!! Everyone is different and that’s what makes the world go ā€˜round! And if you’re one of those people, I’m coming to your party with bells on!!

xo, Liz
