OMG gals, this post was supposed to go out on Sunday (yesterday) along with a fancy new “Here’s what’s coming up on PJH” weekly newsletter but guess what, I ended up watching trolls with my kids >> putting them to bed >> mopping our floors >> doing laundry >> sinking into my couch after dinner mesmerized by the new season of Bloodline >> passing out. I don’t know what it is lately but I’m having such a hard time keeping up with everything, the house, the kids, the laundry, the blog, I’m doing everything in my power to get it all done, I even have an intern two days a week (!) but I’m still coming up short. I try and do everything with as minimal help as possible and some weeks it just gets to me…coffee please 🙂

I did however get to do some work in the AM while the kids were playing at the water table while Brian was reading the paper and picked out some very Pure Joy Home items that I’ll be showing you all here in the coming weeks…I can’t wait to get these in and try them on for ya.

I’m especially excited about this gingham bow dress, I mean how cute is it?! We have a wedding in Vermont in a couple of weeks and I think it’s perfect for that! I’ve also been waiting to hit a financial milestone to get this Chloe bag and it’s finally time, I’ve been waiting for an entire year!! I’m not usually one for uber expensive bags but this is one that every time I see it, I want it so bad and I decided to make the investment (bags are an investment, right??) #heirloomsforgrace. I’m in need of some new mom shorts to wear with my crop tops because they come up high and these denim ones and white ones fit the bill. Shop everything below!

We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican ad We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican adventure. This is the two week decompression period where we train our bodies and minds to slow down (this is more for me than anyone else), and let me tell you, I’m lapping it up.  We’re spending all day outside at the beach, going to bed early, eating lots of fresh fruit and healthy foods, swimming in the ocean, I’m working out and meditating in the mornings, and having fun together. For someone who is usually always in high gear, this part is my gift to myself 🐚 

We are staying at a beautiful place in papagayo with @exclusiveresorts and it feels very luxurious and restorative. 

The kids are already thriving. Being together 24/7 comes with its arguments and fights but they are learning how to just be with each other and with their crazy little brother. They’re helping a lot with him, learning a little Spanish, surfing, writing in their journals, and meeting kids from all over the world who are staying here as well. 

I’m letting us get pampered for this phase, and it feels really good.

Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app @melissawoodtepperberg @melissawoodhealth and so far I’m loving the workouts. I try and do one every morning. They’re super quick so sometimes I do two. I like that they are gentle but hard. They incorporate a lots of yoga, pilates, breathing, stretching, balancing and all that good stuff. You can see from the videos I’m pretty shaky in the first couple clips, that balance is tough but I’m building up my strength, I can feel it 💪🏻
