One Dress Styled 5 Different Ways

(music // The Head & The Heart, Living Mirage)
Excited to be sharing a styling session today featuring one dress styled 5 different ways.  This beautiful satin leopard midi dress is from Abercrombie and I immediately thought it would be a great dress to transition from Summer to Fall.  So I got to thinking and wanted to do something I haven’t done in a while.  So today I am sharing a few different looks using this one dress and it was so fun!  You can check out my try-on/styling session in stories and on IGTV today over at @purejoyhome.

The best part…this dress is on sale today!!  It also comes in a really pretty dark brown and black color which would be great options for any Fall events or even date night.  And the dress is beautiful on it’s own so would be a great summer dress to have now and a good feeling knowing you can now picture it styled into the cooler weather as well.  The tie-belt can be removed to open up more styling options which I will share below.  For sizing reference I am wearing a small.

LOOK #1

Coat | Necklace | Dress | Bag | Shoes

I really LOVE this look for Fall.  Perfect for work, meetings or again just a night out.  This long blazer coat from J.Crew is so beautiful and it’s currently on sale for 30% if you are a rewards member.  And it also comes in a gorgeous kaki and light blush color.  These sock booties are from Sole Society.  Pictured here is the shell color but they also come in black and fit TTS.  This Gucci bag was a big investment but SO worth it to me.  You can wear it over and over again and the straps are adjustable so you can wear it multiple ways which I share in today’s styling video.

LOOK #2

Sweater | Necklace | Dress | Shoes

Because it will get chilly here soon (sad!).  I went for a more cozy look for when it gets a bit chilly you can add a sweater.  This sweater is by one of my favorite retailers, Madewell, and I scooped it up on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year.  I think the gray sweater compliments the tones of the leopard in the dress nicely and it’s a great layering piece to bring to your office or on the go in the event you are in a place that likes to pump their A/C.  And it also would be great to wear dressed down paired with leggings as the length is good for covering the backside.

LOOK #3

T-Shirt | Dress | Sneakers | Apple Watch/Band | Bracelet

One of my favorite graphic tees that I scored from Amazon is this Joy Division shirt.  Obviously love anything that has “JOY” on it 🙂 and it’s under $20.  So, to style this I just took off the tie belt that comes with the dress and tied up the shirt to make it more fitted.  Last year I scored these Vans and have been looking for more ways to style them for you.  It looks great here with this midi dress and tee.  And you can easily switch out the shirt (I linked a few more options below).  A cool mom look to have in your closet.

LOOK #4

Jacket | Dress | Bag | Shoes

So this super chic look with this moto jacket layered over the dress might be my favorite.  I got this jacket a few years ago and can’t find this exact color anywhere (and I look all the time!) I linked the same jacket in a different color that would be great for Fall.  This new bag I got is from Sole Society and under $70!  It’s vegan leather and can be worn as a crossbody or held by the top handles like I am pictured here.

LOOK #5

In the styling video I added one more look.  I thought one way to transition this completely into winter would be to layer it with a chunky sweater just like this one I got from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.  A gorgeous wool/cashmere blend that I just couldn’t leave the store without.  I know I will have it for years, but I also found more affordable sweater in this rolled turtleneck.   I paired it with these blush pumps to give it a more slimming look since the sweater is a big layer itself.

I really hope it’s helpful to see one dress styled 5 different ways!  I am really into investing in pieces you can wear over and over again.  My hope is it helps you imagine what you have in your wardrobe (or use these pieces) to help style, wear and feel good in!
