Save Time Grocery Shopping Online with Instacart

22 Jun 2018 Family, Motherhood

ONE WORD: INSTACART. If you’ve been following me over on instagram you’ve probably seen my stories worshipping this amazing grocery store delivery service. Why on earth have I not discovered it sooner?? It’s the best thing ever and it’s all I use now. It gets even better when there are offers on the brands that I buy all the time, and this month purchasing $35 worth of P&G essentials (Tide, Bounty, Charmin, Crest, Cascade, etc) gets you free delivery! There was a time I actually loved going to the grocery store, I would go and take my time walking up and down the aisles and filling my cart with new ingredients and fun new snacks to try. Enter kids. Not the case anymore. You should see us in a grocery store now, even though it’s only Brian and Grace, we’re like a circus. They have the biggest personalities so by the time we leave the store every staff member and customer has seen them whizzing by in their little carts, and most likely had a mini conversation with them. It may sound cute but as their mom I have about 16 mini panic attacks in the short time we’re there trying to keep my eyes on them, forget about making sure I have all our groceries!

Anyhow, that was a long intro, all that to say, THIS MOM LOVES INSTACART. I can order pretty much whatever I want, whenever I want from wherever we are and bam, within two hours everything we need is delivered to my doorstep. When we were on our way home from Antigua, I ordered everything we needed from the plane and it was there waiting for us.

Here is how Instacart works. Instacart finds grocery stores in your area where you already shop and delivers your groceries the same day for a small fee. There’s no delivery fee on your first order AND P&G is running a promotion right now. You can use Instacart for fresh produce, meats, packaged goods, and all the household items like paper towels, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc… We always seem to run out of these household necessities but not anymore! I can stock up on all our favorites like Bounty, Crest toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc…ALSO right now, they are offering free delivery up until June 25th if you purchase $35 worth of Procter & Gamble (P&G) products, think Gillette, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Crest, Charmin, Bounty. They also find coupons and discounts on products you are shopping for and all you need to do it hit ‘Apply Coupon’ and the cash comes off. Happy Summer! You can start by shopping Instacart here and sign right up! Order your $35 in P&G products for free delivery to your front door!

We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican ad We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican adventure. This is the two week decompression period where we train our bodies and minds to slow down (this is more for me than anyone else), and let me tell you, I’m lapping it up. We’re spending all day outside at the beach, going to bed early, eating lots of fresh fruit and healthy foods, swimming in the ocean, I’m working out and meditating in the mornings, and having fun together. For someone who is usually always in high gear, this part is my gift to myself 🐚

We are staying at a beautiful place in papagayo with @exclusiveresorts and it feels very luxurious and restorative.

The kids are already thriving. Being together 24/7 comes with its arguments and fights but they are learning how to just be with each other and with their crazy little brother. They’re helping a lot with him, learning a little Spanish, surfing, writing in their journals, and meeting kids from all over the world who are staying here as well.

I’m letting us get pampered for this phase, and it feels really good.

Thanks for coming along, I hope your year is off to an amazing start! Is there anything specific you’d like me to share about while we’re in this phase? I was thinking about sharing my morning workouts and meditations, but let me know!
Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app @melissawoodtepperberg @melissawoodhealth and so far I’m loving the workouts. I try and do one every morning. They’re super quick so sometimes I do two. I like that they are gentle but hard. They incorporate a lots of yoga, pilates, breathing, stretching, balancing and all that good stuff. You can see from the videos I’m pretty shaky in the first couple clips, that balance is tough but I’m building up my strength, I can feel it 💪🏻
