TEN THINGS TUESDAY | MY FAVORITE SUMMER ITEMS

Can you believe tomorrow is August 1st!!  I know summer usually goes by fast but does anyone else feel like this summer is flying by WAY too fast?!  I am already getting back to school e-mails in my inbox and see’ing fall fashion trends in my feed and it’s just making me feel like we are already on to the next season.  So I am going to slow summer down today and share my 10 favorite items this summer.  Hoping to give you a refreshed look on warm weather attire and outfit inspo for any end of summer trips, parties, pool or beach days you have coming your way.

HAT | SUNGLASSES | TANK | SHORTS

Two of my top items from this list are my absolute favorite denim shorts (on sale for under $50) and this easy to throw on tank (on sale right now for under $15!). I have worn these shorts almost every day (you’ve prob seen them in my stories the past few weeks) and find that they are just super comfy, a great length and wash.  It’s been hard to find a really good pair of shorts with the right length  (not too long or too short) so I was really excited to have found these!  I also have this hat in both colors (the other color pictured below) because it’s just perfect!  The brim size is just right and I loved having both styles to mix and match with outfits.

This dress was such a dream to wear in Antigua it’s the perfect vacation dress.  It’s has a romantic feel to it and I loved the low back and ruffle details. 

These sandals are def in my top 10 as I got my money’s worth wearing them on repeat almost everyday.  They go with everything!  My beach bag would be my #11 item as it’s the perfect size for the beach or running errands with the kids (i.e. room for snacks and things) and it’s only $29.99 right now but limited supply so act fast if you like it!

SCARF | NECKLACE | DRESS | SHOES 

I have worn this denim dress a number of times including this past weekend in Montauk and it’s such a winner.

Another dress that I have featured a few times in my feed this summer is this topshop dress that can be worn as a cover-up or out and about to a girls lunch.  I seriously have worn this so many times as I love the print and dresses are the best because it’s one item you can throw on and feel good about!

HAT | BATHING SUIT

This ruffle off the shoulder bathing suit was super mom friendly, stayed put and great coverage.

We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican ad We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican adventure. This is the two week decompression period where we train our bodies and minds to slow down (this is more for me than anyone else), and let me tell you, I’m lapping it up.  We’re spending all day outside at the beach, going to bed early, eating lots of fresh fruit and healthy foods, swimming in the ocean, I’m working out and meditating in the mornings, and having fun together. For someone who is usually always in high gear, this part is my gift to myself 🐚 

We are staying at a beautiful place in papagayo with @exclusiveresorts and it feels very luxurious and restorative. 

The kids are already thriving. Being together 24/7 comes with its arguments and fights but they are learning how to just be with each other and with their crazy little brother. They’re helping a lot with him, learning a little Spanish, surfing, writing in their journals, and meeting kids from all over the world who are staying here as well. 

I’m letting us get pampered for this phase, and it feels really good.

Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app @melissawoodtepperberg @melissawoodhealth and so far I’m loving the workouts. I try and do one every morning. They’re super quick so sometimes I do two. I like that they are gentle but hard. They incorporate a lots of yoga, pilates, breathing, stretching, balancing and all that good stuff. You can see from the videos I’m pretty shaky in the first couple clips, that balance is tough but I’m building up my strength, I can feel it 💪🏻
