One question I get asked a lot is to share more work appropriate styles/ideas. So in today’s post I am going to share versatile Fall workwear that you can easily wear from the office, to school pick-up and out to dinner.
Since I work from home my daily work wardrobe mainly consists of my favorite jeans and a t-shirt. More recently though, there have been days I have meetings or attend more formal speaking events where my daily comfy clothes just won’t cut it. So many of you have also asked for ideas on how to style work appropriate outfits that can also be worn after hours. So when I got the chance to work with Banana Republic I knew this was the exact place to shop for versatile outfits that can go from the office to a date night.
One of the big trends this summer was styling midi skirts with graphic tee’s or tie-front tops. And I am seeing the skirt trend rolling on right into Fall as well! Below I am styling one midi skirt that’s under $100, two different ways so you can get a feel for how easy and versatile this trend can be. This leopard midi slip skirt is so gorgeous. It has a high waist, and a gentle flair below the hips which makes it so flattering. It’s made from a super soft satin fabric and the hint of leopard print is very on trend right now without being too overbearing.
LOOK #1
For this first look, I paired a black turtleneck with the skirt and heels to give it a more put together/dressed up style. This would be perfect for work, meetings or even holiday parties. You can take this look from Fall right into Winter and just switch out the heels for some boots or booties and layer with a coat. I could also see the skirt paired with a black blouse that would give it an even more formal look for special occasions or Fall parties you have coming up.
LOOK #2
For this look I went slightly more casual and layered the skirt with a really pretty ivory sweater. This is a great day to day look that you can easily dress up or down by switching out the shoes, bag and coat in the Fall/Winter. The sweater has a slight crop to it but it hits perfectly just above the hip making it easy for you to front tuck the sweater like I did (pictured below) without being too bulky. I could even see this skirt styled for this time of year with sneakers and a t-shirt and maybe a jean jacket if it’s a bit chilly out at night. So many different ways to wear this skirt which makes the price for under $100 SO worth it.
I was so excited to be partnering with Banana Republic on today’s versatile Fall workwear post as they are definitely a go-to retailer to shop all things business casual. Whether you are a teacher, work in an office or even work from home with occasional meetings or events, it’s a great place to find head-to-toe styles for those days you need to look more put together.
Thank you Banana Republic for sponsoring today’s post!
