Vineyard Vines + Pure Joy

7 Mar 2018 Family, Outfit Posts, Style, Uncategorized

One of my very favorite aspects of blogging is collaborating with brands and teams of people to meld each of our unique visions into one beautiful story. When Vineyard Vines reached out to see if our family would be interested in collaborating for their Spring catalog I almost fell out of my chair! To work with the Vineyard Vines team to capture the happiness we share in our favorite beach destination (where my parents reside half the year, Jupiter, FL) dressed in their spring line was a dream come true. This was such a cool experience for all of us to share. My parents were thrilled when we told them we were coming down to visit, and then seeing Brian and Grace shine and laugh and smile for the camera gives me all the feels. The stylist and her co-worker came to meet us in Florida and it was a true team effort to get all of the looks shot, but it was FUN because we were in our element. Ahh, I love getting to work alongside my family, it really makes it ALL worth it, ya know what I mean?

Anyway, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and the people at VV couldn’t be more amazing. Seriously, a very cool, authentic and dedicated group of people go behind all those pink whales we wear 🙌🏻 And they are headquartered in my hometown of Stamford, CT which is awesome.

Here are some shots of the shoot which were taken by my favorite Floridian photographer, Shaye Babb.

I really enjoyed watching Brian and Grace dress up in the adorable Easter outfits and see just how grown up my babies are and I watched proudly as their sweet relationship unfolded just as it does at home (when they aren’t fighting lol) despite their being strangers around.  The highlight for them was hanging out with the great Vineyard Vines team (thank you all!!).  They were SO nice and made them laugh all day long it was so nice to see them enjoy this and one day when they are old enough to appreciate it I can’t wait to show them these pics!! <3

The outfits themselves are all just so classic, simple and comfortable.  Their items are really high quality and great options for any upcoming spring holidays like Easter or events like summer weddings.

Brian:  Shirt // Tie // Blazer // Pants // Belt

Liz:  Dress // Earrings

Little Brian:  Shirt // Tie // Jacket // Shorts // Shorts // Easter Tee

Grace:  Dress 1 (Seersucker) // Dress 2 (White eyelet) // Eyelet Shorts // Easter Tee

I LOVED the swimsuit I wore!  It made me feel so girly with the ruffles but also a very appropriate and well-fitting two piece (i.e. good coverage) and the CT girl in me loves the look of the classic seersucker print.  The blue and white textured weave makes this suit a stunner and paired with the navy cover-up would be a perfect look whether your spot is by the pool or the ocean.  Also their beach bags are legit!  It’s the perfect size to fit just what you need and easily carry it to and from where you need to go.

Bathing Suit Top // Bottom // Bag // Cover-up

Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement through all the @purejoyhome family adventures!  I received so many thoughtful messages when I was working on this partnership and it never goes unnoticed that you all are SERIOUSLY THE BEST!!  We are gearing up for another fun family adventure to California at the end of this week so stay tuned for more!!

We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican ad We’re currently in Phase 1 of our Costa Rican adventure. This is the two week decompression period where we train our bodies and minds to slow down (this is more for me than anyone else), and let me tell you, I’m lapping it up. We’re spending all day outside at the beach, going to bed early, eating lots of fresh fruit and healthy foods, swimming in the ocean, I’m working out and meditating in the mornings, and having fun together. For someone who is usually always in high gear, this part is my gift to myself 🐚

We are staying at a beautiful place in papagayo with @exclusiveresorts and it feels very luxurious and restorative.

The kids are already thriving. Being together 24/7 comes with its arguments and fights but they are learning how to just be with each other and with their crazy little brother. They’re helping a lot with him, learning a little Spanish, surfing, writing in their journals, and meeting kids from all over the world who are staying here as well.

I’m letting us get pampered for this phase, and it feels really good.

Thanks for coming along, I hope your year is off to an amazing start! Is there anything specific you’d like me to share about while we’re in this phase? I was thinking about sharing my morning workouts and meditations, but let me know!
Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app Recently, I downloaded the Melissa Wood health app @melissawoodtepperberg @melissawoodhealth and so far I’m loving the workouts. I try and do one every morning. They’re super quick so sometimes I do two. I like that they are gentle but hard. They incorporate a lots of yoga, pilates, breathing, stretching, balancing and all that good stuff. You can see from the videos I’m pretty shaky in the first couple clips, that balance is tough but I’m building up my strength, I can feel it 💪🏻
