Hi!! I have been dreaming of William’s nursery since he was a little bean in my belly. I LOVE working on design schemes for the kids. Of this entire process of building our home, what brings me the most JOY is working on the kids rooms! I want their bedrooms to make them feel comfortable and secure, and reflect their unique personalities. I had a lot of fun with Willam’s nursery design. I wanted it to be soft and sweet, just like him 🙂
His room will have this beautiful sailboat wallpaper by Sara Fitz on all four walls, this gorgeous pendant light (in the 19.5″ diameter) and I’m currently looking for the perfect drapes. My friend Lauren showed these black out woven drapes on her instagram stories the other day, and the looked like such great quality. I ordered the sample pack of fabrics and I’m so hoping to find a color that works because this will be much less expensive than going the custom route (I will keep you posted on that!). For rods, I’m thinking these. I love the color and nautical vibe.
We have this crib and a similar dresser already so we’ll move that into his room. For decor, I love these simple pieces. This print is so cute and won’t compete with the sailboat wallpaper behind it. It’s a printable so I’ll have it printed somewhere online and will frame it in in this float frame. I’m thinking for the penant flag, I’ll have his name William Jackson written on.
I love this rug!! I snagged some photos from the website to get a better glimpse. Here is what it looks like in a room.
We have this glider (looks like our color is out of stock) but if I could do it over I’d get this swivel chair. I’ve seen it in person and it is SO pretty, and SO comfortable. It’s also not a “glider” so would look good anywhere in our home, i.e. you can move it around when the “glider” stage ends.
This pillow from McGee & Co. It’s a bit of a splurge but SO PRETTY!!! There are some look-a-likes on Etsy, you can see here.
Okay, I think that’s everything!! Hope you enjoyed this post, and I CAN NOT WAIT to see his nursery come to life in just a couple of months!!
